Alaska

Alaska's marijuana laws are a bit like a wild bear on a unicycle – unconventional but strangely entertaining. Back in 1975, they decriminalized possession of small amounts, probably because they realized it's hard to be tough on crime when it's freezing outside. Then, in 2014, they went full-on Cheech and Chong and legalized recreational use, leaving many folks scratching their heads like they just stumbled upon a moose in their backyard. Now, you can possess, grow, and gift the green stuff, but selling it outside of licensed dispensaries is a no-no, probably to keep the entrepreneurial spirit in check. So, if you're planning a pot-filled cruise along Alaska's scenic waters, just remember to pack your sense of adventure and leave the business plans at home!
